I am Martin Schranz, entrepreneur, investor, and visionary, but also a happy family man and adventurer. I have successfully set up several companies, am blessed with a beautiful family and climbed mountains of the 7 Summits. I know how to drive a Formula 1 racing car, have flown into the stratosphere with a Mig-29 at supersonic speed and have also taken part in astronaut training courses where I learned what weightlessness feels like. When I invite people to a party, it is not uncommon for very well-known names from business and the entertainment industry to appear. I always generate new ideas and have already secured my place on a Blue Origin rocket that will fly into space. As an entrepreneur, you will definitely continue to hear from me.

On an everyday basis though, I live a quiet life with my family in my adopted country, Switzerland. In addition to my successes in business and at home, it has always been of particular importance to me to lead a varied, exciting, and challenging life full of spectacular experiences. In my opinion, life should be pure and full of emotional fireworks with which I can inspire and motivate other people.

I have not always been of this mindset. Up until the age of 27, my life was marked by failures, setbacks, and wrong decisions. This led to me reaching my lowest point in both my health and finances. I was given the opportunity to decide whether I would either continue to pay rent for my small, shabby one-room apartment, or take a one- way ticket to a foreign country whose language I did not understand.

I chose the one-way ticket to Tallinn. With only 70 euros in my pocket and freshly in love, I started my new life. We started out living in a hostel with a shared shower – not exactly what you would want or imagine at that age.

A year later though, we had already built our first successful company. By our second year living abroad, we had traveled to 25 countries around the world, bought a nice apartment and started living our dream.

Ten years later, I retired from an active professional life and devoted myself to my family and adventures. It is not my aim to amass the largest fortune or any level of power. Since I choose not to pursue those fruitless ambitions, I can instead spend my energy striving for a life full of experiences, adventures and variety while also having the freedom to forge new plans at any time.

I was once asked how much wealth I would like to acquire and said, “Anyone can become rich and powerful. However, to lead a happy, contented and fulfilled life full of new experiences and feelings is a true art that I strive to learn and master.”
